- Dave's Bernina -

I was raised on a farm in Taber, Alberta, Canada. I learned to sew on my Mom’s electric Singer treadle machine. I took sewing classes in junior high from an amazing teacher, Elaine Keister, that instilled in me a love for sewing.
I graduated from BYU with a degree in Home Economics Education. I met my husband, Carl Lyman, while attending BYU. After graduation, we moved to Sutherland, near Delta Utah where we raised 6 children, 3 girls and 3 boys. I used my sewing skills to make clothes for our children. I loved to learn new skills and added quilt piecing and machine embroidery to my skills. I bought a Bernina Deco to start my machine embroidery habit and then graduated to the Artista 170 and have owned different models since and currently own a Bernina 830 sewing/embroidery machine. I fell in love with machine embroidery and loved the fun you can have with creating with it.
We currently live in Spanish Fork and are grandparents to 16 almost 17 amazing grandchildren. Being a grandparent is the best!
