About the Class
A Bride’s Bouquet, also known as Nosegay is a timeless, traditional pattern that you will absolutely love now and for years to come! Let Paula help you master template cutting, exact piecing, and the dreaded Y seams. You will walk away confident, with new or refined skills that will make other quilts look so much more simple. Use lots of color, or something simple to make these bouquets come to life.
2 yards background fabric- I used snow Kona…you will have bits left over
¼ yard “flower” fabric…I used 25 different fabrics, if you are using scraps, you need six pieces 3” x 7 ½” per flower (some of the antique quilts show each petal in a block made from a different fabric)
¾ yard handle fabric
½ yard leaf fabric
4 yards alternate block fabric
Paula has been designing, creating, cooking, gardening, knitting, stitching, and sewing for many years...actually… she started with Betsy Wetsy, Barbie, Ken, Midge, and troll dolls. 30 something years ago Paula started piecing quilts...she loves every aspect of quilting except binding...What Paula wants in life is 11 MORE HOURS A DAY … and… WORLD PEACE.
