About the Class

Sew a gorgeous table topper or wall hanging that speaks to the purpose of Thanksgiving. The Be Grateful mini quilt/table topper is a beautiful reminder to remember all the blessings we have been given.
This class includes learning raw edge applique techniques as well as basic patchwork.
Depending on the version you choose to make, you will leave the class with the center block largely finished and some of the patchwork completed as well.
I will provide printed sheets for the raw edge applique in class, but cutting for the patchwork sections can be completed ahead of time. I do not recommend starching the fabrics for the applique backgrounds, but feel free to use it on the patchwork sections.

Fabric Requirements

Fabric requirements depend on the project selected, but you will need 5-6 fat quarters plus yardage for backing, binding and backgrounds. Alternatively- you can achieve greater variety in fabrics by using a charm pack. Kits will be offered- $35-50 depending on the style chosen.

Instructor

Amy Chappell

Hi! I'm Amy Chappell and I hate writing bios in third person, so I'm just going to write it like this! I'm the mom of six kids and I learned early on that I needed an outlet to keep myself grounded and happy. This is where creating and sewing came to be a prominent feature of my life. I have been writing my blog Ameroonie Designs since 2008 and started writing patterns a few years later. My goal is to make creativity more accessible by designing and teaching patterns that are quick to make and don't cost a lot of money. I love embroidery and hand stitching and of course quilting. My favorite projects are seasonal elements I can bring into my home to make it cozy, festive and fun for my family.
Teaching: Be Grateful Mini Quilt / Table Topper and Summer Fruit Mini Pillows
