Giant Hunter's Star Quilt
Take home a finished quilt top instead of another project with this fun class. The classic Hunter’s star has been enlarged for a more modern look. No templates or special rulers, just some simple cutting. Learn to sew comfortably with diamonds and trapezoids, and make a quilt top you can easily finish while at the retreat. It takes 8 fat quarters and 2 yards of a coordinating fabric to make this throw-sized quilt, so your retreat prep is minimal.

Step it Up! Quilted Shoes
You’ve made the quilts, bags, and even coats here at Sew Simply Stitched, so why wouldn’t you want to give custom-made shoes a try! Take a step in the right direction and join us to learn how to create shoes out of your favorite fabrics. In fact, the hardest part is figuring out which fabrics you want to make your shoes out of. This class will require some prep prior to the class, but it will be worth it. But don’t worry, you’ll receive directions via a video from the instructor. We will then come together in person to learn how to assemble your shoes. Once you create your first pair you won’t be able to quit making many, many different styles and soon you’ll be strutting your cute creations for all to see!!

Down the Cookie Rabbit Hole

Clem's Scrappy Windows Quilt
I’ve been so drawn to this quilt for many years. I always think of my dear friend Clem. She was 93 years young when she decided to learn how to make this quilt. “You are never too old to learn something new” was what she would always say. We will be learning a NEW and fast method of the original Cathedral window quilt. Many Tips and Tricks will be taught to wow even the experienced quilter.
We will be making a Pillow/Table Topper in class. If you love the technique, you can move on to a quilt.
Sizes- Pillow, Baby, SM Throw, Lg Throw, and King pattern options will be provided at the class

Stylish Sewing Caddy

Hand Applique 5 Ways
Do you love the beauty of hand appliqued quilts, but wonder if you would like it enough to
actually finish one? This beginner hand applique class will teach you five different approaches
to hand applique in just ONE quilt block, allowing you to experiment with methods and learn
which feels right to you. We will cover points, curves, and circles. You will also learn how to
make your own bias for stems. If you discover that you love it, make more blocks! If it’s not
your favorite quilting style, then you only have one block to do something with: a pillow, wall

Crimson Crown
This is a beautiful quilt that looks more difficult than it is. We will make it even easier by using quick cutting and piecing techniques. Squaring up the pieces before sewing them together makes it more precise. Strip piecing will also save money on excess fabric.
Learn how to convert pattern instructions to make quilt blocks using less fabric and cutting fewer pieces. We will use strip piecing and other techniques to speed piece and make this quilt in less time. Students will receive handouts and make half square triangles 8 at a time instead of 1 at a time; and flying geese 4 at a time instead of 1 at a time.
We will complete the Center Star and work on the surrounding sections of the center medallion.

It Takes a Village
These houses are perfect for every season, holiday, or just everyday decorating. Come learn some of the tricks to add personality and create a 3-D décor in your favorite fabric!
