You’ve made the quilts, bags, and even coats here at Sew Simply Stitched, so why wouldn’t you want to give custom-made shoes a try! Take a step in the right direction and join us to learn how to create shoes out of your favorite fabrics. In fact, the hardest part is figuring out which fabrics you want to make your shoes out of. This class will require some prep prior to the class, but it will be worth it. But don’t worry, you’ll receive directions via a video from the instructor. We will then come together in person to learn how to assemble your shoes. Once you create your first pair you won’t be able to quit making many, many different styles and soon you’ll be strutting your cute creations for all to see!!

If you've ever fallen in love with watching cookie icing videos or just want a way to make your treats with a little extra magic, come learn how to create a wonderful wonderland set of cookies. In this class, we will learn basic piping techniques, icing consistencies, wet-on-wet icing, detailing, and more. You may not want to eat your beautiful work, but the best part is… this art is edible!

I’ve been so drawn to this quilt for many years. I always think of my dear friend Clem. She was 93 years young when she decided to learn how to make this quilt. “You are never too old to learn something new” was what she would always say. We will be learning a NEW and fast method of the original Cathedral window quilt. Many Tips and Tricks will be taught to wow even the experienced quilter.
We will be making a Pillow/Table Topper in class. If you love the technique, you can move on to a quilt.

This Sewing Caddy holds a lot of your sewing essentals. With pockets on the outside, and I add pockets to the inside, there is plenty of organizational room. The wire frame helps the bag stay open wide so you can easily find what you need. It has become one of my favorite grab bags for my sewing needs. Don’t let making bags scare you. We’ll work step by step to make it easy. There will be prep work to be done before class.

Do you love the beauty of hand appliqued quilts, but wonder if you would like it enough to
actually finish one? This beginner hand applique class will teach you five different approaches
to hand applique in just ONE quilt block, allowing you to experiment with methods and learn
which feels right to you. We will cover points, curves, and circles. You will also learn how to
make your own bias for stems. If you discover that you love it, make more blocks! If it’s not
your favorite quilting style, then you only have one block to do something with: a pillow, wall
hanging, pouch, etc.

This darling coat can be made reversible and will just get better with age and washing. We will cover some of the easy shortcuts and tips to make this darling coat.
Purchase the pattern online and print at home or order the pattern kit and I will ship full size pattern sheets to you and give you the printed pattern at the retreat. I will also send a video to everyone to help with the prep prior to class, so as soon as class starts, we will get sewing and can get this ready to wear! This is a beautiful quilt that looks more difficult than it is. We will make it even easier by using quick cutting and piecing techniques. Squaring up the pieces before sewing them together makes it more precise. Strip piecing will also save money on excess fabric.
Learn how to convert pattern instructions to make quilt blocks using less fabric and cutting fewer pieces. We will use strip piecing and other techniques to speed piece and make this quilt in less time. Students will receive handouts and make half square triangles 8 at a time instead of 1 at a time; and flying geese 4 at a time instead of 1 at a time.
We will complete the Center Star and work on the surrounding sections of the center medallion.

These houses are perfect for every season, holiday, or just everyday decorating. Come learn some of the tricks to add personality and create a 3-D décor in your favorite fabric! This rainbow quilt features freezer paper foundation piecing which creates such interesting movement within the blocks. The original quilt is made from Everglow Collection fabrics by Tula Pink but would also be great to make from your stash. The pattern also includes a coloring sheet which makes choosing the fabrics so much easier. This fun technique combined with your rainbow stash of fabrics will make this quilt one of your favorites when it’s finished. Learning to make “Stitch and Flip” pieces quickly and accurately to create wildflower quilt blocks. Use a “Sew Straight Template” or “Seams Sew Easy” guide to accurately stitch corner to corner without having to mark lines on your fabric. We will learn how to construct small pieces and sew them together precisely to make the Sunflower block.

Learn to master rulerwork on your domestic machine as you work on the Jump for Joy panel using one versatile ruler. This beautiful panel will make a lovely table topper and will give you the opportunity to practice the basics of successful rulerwork including stitch-in-the-ditch, straight line and curved designs, and stitching around applique.
