Come design a quilt block that tells your story! A favorite vacation, meaningful experience, stage in life, difficult challenge, or any other memory or feeling can become a quilt. In this class, you will design a quilt block that expresses your personal experience. Your instructor will lead you through exercises that help you choose color, design, shape, and technique based on your vision, tastes and skill level. You get to decide how far you take it: an entire quilt, a few blocks, or simply an exercise in mindfulness. In class progress will vary by person - watch for emails in weeks before the retreat to get a head start in your brainstorming, or get started in class. All you need is your one Beach Towel Tote filled with your sunglasses, sunscreen, a good book, a treat , Splash Proof Phone Pouch, your water bottle and your ready for some sun-filled relaxing moments by the pool or on the beach. Let's make this quick, easy project and be ready for a summer of FUN!!! We will learn to sew on different textures e.g. terry cloth towel, vinyl, installing a zipper, making and attaching a bias tape. Working on these wreath blocks was one of those projects that I fell in love with more and more each time I saw another block emerge. There is something a bit mesmerizing about the combination of the points here with the wreath and the center accents. I absolutely love it and hope you will too!
We will be working on the illusion of curves and are so simple, along with a few more surprises that you will learn along the way. Tips and tricks will be shared through out the class.

We will use our new skills to make this darling table runner or keep going and make a quilt. Strips and Salsa is just one of the darling items you can make from this booklet. It’s a fun quilt to put together using strips from your stash or jelly roll strips. You can make it fit any bed just by adding blocks to the rows or rows to the quilt!

Learn how, what, where and why of downloading your embroidery files and what to do with them!! What am I looking for on a CD? Where is it if I buy online? I will show you in class. We'll go step by step and everyone will be purchasing a design in class. It’s inexpensive, around $5. Class size will be up to 24 attendees so there is a possibility of sharing. Each person will be stitching out a design!

We had so much fun with the class last year, let's do it again! This is truly an ‘everything’ bag! It can be used for anything & everything. It is already one of my new favorite bags. There are three sizes. I made the medium and it holds 2 12”x12” boxes and my large rotating mat. I’ve loaded it with projects, quilts, even a small sewing machine. You can choose to make the medium or the large bag. **There will be prep work to be done before class.

For this class, we will be taking Amanda Murphy's Flower Power quilt pattern which uses oversized blooms and creating a 16" pillow instead of a quilt.
We will use the decorative stitches on the sewing machine to give the appliqué a fun new, finished look. You’ll get some tips on perfecting decorative stitches so you can see how fun it is.
I would recommend that you choose the layout you want to make with the flowers and prep the flower pieces ahead of time. The pattern includes template shapes that are already reversed and ready for fusible applique.
With some of the prep work done we should be able to complete the applique stitching in class. All the new knowledge will have you ready to make a whole quilt.

Sew a gorgeous table topper or wall hanging that speaks to the purpose of Thanksgiving. The Be Grateful mini quilt/table topper is a beautiful reminder to remember all the blessings we have been given.
This class includes learning raw edge applique techniques as well as basic patchwork.
Depending on the version you choose to make, you will leave the class with the center block largely finished and some of the patchwork completed as well.
I will provide printed sheets for the raw edge applique in class, but cutting for the patchwork sections can be completed ahead of time. I do not recommend starching the fabrics for the applique backgrounds, but feel free to use it on the patchwork sections.

The Atlas Zipper Case is a great organizer, whether it is for quilting notions, stitching notions, hand stitching or even make-up. It has 3 zippered pockets, two with vinyl so you can see what you put in the pocket. It also has two ‘hidden’ pockets behind the 3 zipper pockets. My favorite part is It zips closed so nothing will fall out. It measures 8” x 10” closed, 16” x 10” open. **There will be prep work to be done before class.

Bring a sweatshirt and learn to upcycle!! In this class we will learn some fun and exciting ways to turn our old (or to small) items into wearable fun fashion!! We will discuss how to take clothing that is to small and change it into something wearable. Lets get creative and learn how to customize garments and make them your own! In this class we can make Unicorns, Donkeys, Horses, Gnomes, Bats, Pumpkins, Skeletons, Cats… the possibilities are endless!!This class can go in so many directions! We will cover the basics of doll body construction and some tips to make it a smoother process. Then, we will spend time making accessories and clothes.

Fresh take on a traditional star quilt block. We will also be covering how to set the quilt on point. I love this quilt I have made it many time to enjoy all the combinations.

Soda Pop Blossom is an easy, beginner friendly applique quilt with lots of gentle curves - perfect for practicing your applique stitch! Make just one block, or complete the entire quilt. We will only be hand sewing in class, and will spend most of our time practicing your stitches. You will be taught two different ways to prepare your pieces and will begin stitching petals and leaves in class. Machine piecing is required in this project, but we will not spend class time using machines so we can maximize our hand sewing time. Instructor will email you with instructions for cutting/prep prior to class as well as where to purchase pattern.

Bath and Swim time with our kids and grandkids is always such a joy– and what better way to wrap them up afterward, than in these adorable hooded towels? We will emboider the design on the hood and sew it all together so you can go home and wrap them around those cute kids. Felt applique is fun, colorful and portable! These pillows are fast and fun to stitch up and make great additions to your spring and summer decor. Use them in dough bowls, on tiered trays or anywhere you want a splash of fresh and colorful handmade fun. In this class we will learn the techniques for cutting out pattern pieces with freezer paper. Embroidery stitches such as French knots, Lazy daisy and whip stitch. You will walk away with a solid start on your first Summer fruit pillow. Remember- hand stitching is a marathon, not a sprint. :)
I will provide freezer paper templates to use in class, so no prep work is needed.

Learn the fast and easy Apliquick Method of Applique. You will learn how to prepare pieces for hand or machine applique. The Apliquick method uses 2 stainless steel rods, special glue and fusible interfacing to turn the seam allowance under. Giving a beautiful and smooth edge that is ready for your choice of applique.
