About the Class
Whether you need to bind your first quilt or have been binding for years and are stuck in a rut, this hands on class will cover everything from the basics how to cut bias binding to binding curves, adding trim to your binding and cute decorative stitch binding both by hand and machine. We will practice each technique on the 6 placemats or small projects that need to be quilted before class.
Fabric Requirements
6 placemats or similar size small projects, quilted, to bind. Kit can be purchased from American Quilting.
Class Supply List
Sewing machine with quilting foot and open foot
Scissors
Rotary cutter, ruler, and mat
Binding clips or pins
Iron
6 placemats or similar size small projects quilted and ready to bind with coordinating fabric for binding or placemat kit purchased from American Quilting’s website. Kit will include placemat panel, back and binding. Can be purchased pre-quilted and ready to bind or to take home and quilt yourself before class.

I took my first sewing lessons at 10 years old and by high school was sewing my own clothes. I discovered my true love in quilting when friends invited me to a class 23 years ago. I've worked at American Quilting for 9 years where I love creating, teaching and being inspired by all the amazing quilters I get to meet.
I married my amazing husband in 1999 and we have 4 awesome kids.
