About the Class
Pull out your scraps to play with color and value! This simple design is a perfect way to make a dent in your 2.5" or 1.5" wide scraps while creating a gorgeous quilt full of favorite fabrics. The blocks are addictive and fun to make. We will learn about value, pairing fabrics, accurate piecing, and developing your eye for color. If you wish, bring some extra scraps to trade with other students, and your instructor will bring extras as well. If you don't want to make the entire quilt, make a baby sized one, or turn a few blocks into a tote bag.
Fabric Requirements
The Gleaned Quilt is a scrap quilt. Fabric measurements are given for sets of scraps. Yardage is only provided for black and white corner pieces. Note that you can cut (6) 6.5” strips from a jelly roll strip, and will get 252 total 2.5”x6.5” strips from a 42 piece jelly roll.
**Additional fabric information will be sent with pattern.

Instructor
Jennifer Harrison
Twenty plus years ago Jennifer walked into a quilt shop expecting to make one quilt and check it off her bucket list. Instead, she discovered a medium for exploring color, texture, design, and storytelling which quickly eclipsed all other creative interests. She is an avid quilter, blogger, pattern writer, and mom to 8 kids. Jennifer believes that creativity is one of our deepest yearnings and that it deserves to be included in everyday life. Her quilts are both an exercise in creativity and a search for hope and light in her daily life. She believes that quilts will matter so long as we have arms to wrap around each other. In addition to quilting, she enjoys reading biographies, writing, spending time with her husband and 8 children, and growing lavender. She blogs about quilts and life at hopefulhomemaker.com.
Teaching: Fabric Books, Lazy Bear Quilt, and Gleaned Quilt
