Instructor

Hilary Checketts

I grew up in Pleasant Grove and Provo Utah. I’ve been married for 29 years and have a son and daughter that are both grown and out of the house.

I have always been a creative person. My mother taught me to sew at an early age. I repurposed clothing before it was trendy, and made my first quilt when I was 16.

With the help of Covid I was reintroduced to the world of quilt making, and the new to me, world of machine embroidery. I have been very busy ever since. I love teaching, and sharing with others the joy of creativity and the feeling of accomplishment that comes with each project and new skills.
