Instructor
Cheryl Bridges
Cheryl has always been an artist and a quilter. She learned how to sew at age 8, the first thing she
made was a doll quilt. As a teenager, she was making quilts for her siblings for christmas. She got a
degree in Graphics and Commercial Art at UVU. She has found that her training as an artist goes hand
in hand with her quilting.
Cheryl is married to a wonderful husband and has 4 children, no grandchildren yet . . . .
Through out her adult life, Cheryl has worked in nearly every position in the quilting industry. She has
worked in retail quilt shops, run a longarm machine, taught classes, designed patterns, made kits,
worked in a wholesale warehouse and made display quilts. She currently owns an online shop called
Butterfly Stitchery where she sells quilt fabric. https://www.etsy.com/shop/ButterflyStitchery
In 2024, Cheryl and her husband retired and moved to Hurricane UT where she joined the Zion
Piecemakers Quilt Guild. In retirement she is as busy as ever working in a quilt shop, running a
longarm machine and making display quilts. She loves attending quilt retreats and finishing her UFO
quilts.
