About the Class

Enjoy beautiful, instant success in appliqué that will look hand done! If you have ever been overwhelmed by an appliqué project or have always wanted to try but were not quite sure about the handwork—then this is for you! Create the Classic Rose of Sharon Block. You  will be so hooked on this technique you will want to create enough for a whole quilt.
Dave’s Bernina will be providing 735/770 Bernina machines, 1/4” foot, stitch plate, bobbin and bobbin fill and needles

Fabric Requirements

1/2 yard light colored cotton for background
Selection of small pieces (fat quarters work well) of assorted fabrics for applique. The sample we will work on will be a floral motif so choose colors for the main flower, stems, leaves, etc.

Class Supply List

Small travel iron if you own one (there will be some irons to share)
Small ironing surface- you will want one close to your machine (there will be a few to share)
Marking pencil or pen (air or water-soluble works great)
Pencil for Tracing
3-4 Elmer’s Washable Glue Sticks (I prefer white)
Sewing thread to match background fabric
Clear Mono-filament Thread- Sulky or Superior are my favorites (there will be some to purchase)
