For this class, we will be taking Amanda Murphy's Flower Power quilt pattern which uses oversized blooms and creating a 16" pillow instead of a quilt.
We will use the decorative stitches on the sewing machine to give the appliqué a fun new, finished look. You’ll get some tips on perfecting decorative stitches so you can see how fun it is.
I would recommend that you choose the layout you want to make with the flowers and prep the flower pieces ahead of time. The pattern includes template shapes that are already reversed and ready for fusible applique.
With some of the prep work done we should be able to complete the applique stitching in class. All the new knowledge will have you ready to make a whole quilt.
