Scraps for collage in red, white, yellow and green
Collage Fabric- 3-5 prints in three shades of red: light, medium and dark. 2-3 prints in three shades of green: light, medium and dark. 2-4 prints in white ranging from light gray to bright white. Small scrap of yellow
Appliqué background: Fat Quarter
Flower Border: Fat Quarters in white, yellow and blue (or color of choice)
Inner and Outer borders: Fat Quarter
Pillow Front Backing: 1/2 yard muslin or inexpensive fabric
Pillow Back: 1/3 yard
Binding: 1/4 yard
Zipper: 18” or longer
Batting: 22” square

Hi! I'm Amy Chappell and I hate writing bios in third person, so I'm just going to write it like this! I'm the mom of six kids and I learned early on that I needed an outlet to keep myself grounded and happy. This is where creating and sewing came to be a prominent feature of my life. I have been writing my blog Ameroonie Designs since 2008 and started writing patterns a few years later. My goal is to make creativity more accessible by designing and teaching patterns that are quick to make and don't cost a lot of money. I love embroidery and hand stitching and of course quilting. My favorite projects are seasonal elements I can bring into my home to make it cozy, festive and fun for my family.
