About the Class

Come enjoy stitching up a delightful Witch Hat mini pillow. In this class we will talk about cutting out felt, felt applique, embroidery and sewing up a pillow. I will even help you conquer your fear of the dreaded French knot! This is a fun, relaxing class and you will love adding this darling mini pillow to your tiered trays, dough bowls or anywhere else you want a bit of Halloween fun! Don’t bother bringing your sewing machine to class because the class time will be focused on perfecting your hand embroidery.

Fabric Requirements

2- 5" squares of fabric, wool blend felt (not woven wool) in white, black and orange (or purple- for hat band

Class Supply List

Embroidery needles- one with a large eye that will accommodate a full six strands. Then a smaller one for the rest of the stitching.
Embroidery floss: black, orange, purple, light green, dark green, light yellow, dark yellow, gray
Sharp Scissors
Glue Stick

Hi! I'm Amy Chappell and I hate writing bios in third person, so I'm just going to write it like this! I'm the mom of six kids and I learned early on that I needed an outlet to keep myself grounded and happy. This is where creating and sewing came to be a prominent feature of my life. I have been writing my blog Ameroonie Designs since 2008 and started writing patterns a few years later. My goal is to make creativity more accessible by designing and teaching patterns that are quick to make and don't cost a lot of money. I love embroidery and hand stitching and of course quilting. My favorite projects are seasonal elements I can bring into my home to make it cozy, festive and fun for my family.
